25 years of ILLMATIC !!!! 🙌🏾 Wow ! @nas you did an amazing job creating this album to be what is was and still is today, AUTHENTIC, SUPERB, and LEGENDARY!!! 🙌🏾👏🏾This classic album had everyone, including myself, bumping their heads to every song on the album then and even today ! That’s how dope and how classic this album will always be ! Like Nas, I know what it’s like to be raised in New York because I was raised in New York too and you have to have thick skin to survive in the concrete jungle and Nas did just that ! He made it out of Queensbridge Houses in Queens, NY and made New York proud because he never forgot where he came from, he was and has always represented New York and shouted everyone out who was important in his upbringing in Queens🙏🏾Nas’ song “Represent” tells just that and I’m proud of Nas for always being so humble no matter how legendary he has become 🙌🏾When I listen to the songs on this album, they all speak volumes to me, they all have a legit message that one can take from it to motivate them in life especially the song on this albums titled, “The World is Yours”, “One Time For Your Mind” and “Represent”🙌🏾That’s what I love about Nas. His music is more than music. It’s thorough, motivating, inspiring, and most importantly, REAL.
