Remembering Aaliyah 🙏🏾❤️

Let me first start off by saying the rest in peace to the beautiful, late and greet Aaliyah 🙏🏾 Aaliyah was born in Brooklyn, New York. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a singer. Her first talent show on television was on Star Search. Although Aaliyah didn’t win the competition at 11 years old, she didn’t let that stop her. She was determined and continued to work hard to make her dreams comes true and at the age of 14 she debuted her first album. 14 years old with a big album ! 🔥Wow ! 👏🏾She was definitely rare 🙌🏾

Whenever anybody asks who was/is my favorite singer I would always say Aaliyah💖 Aaliyah has been my favorite singer since I was in elementary school. I remember when I first saw Aaliyah’s music  video “Are You That Somebody” in 1998 and it was then that she became my favorite singer. I admired her talent, how cool, and how unique she was.

Can’t believe that Aaliyah’s song “Are You That Somebody” was created 25 years ago in 1998 ! 🔥🔥🙌🏾It’s such a classic and the choreography is top notch ! Whew ! 🔥Aaliyah was only a teenager and she nailed the record and the music video !🔥🔥👏🏾

From a teenager into her young adult years,  Aaliyah influenced many with her originality, her style, her great personality, aura and her versatile talent. Aaliyah was not only a singer, but an actress and model as well.   I love who Aaliyah was because to me, she was original, authentic, very humble, calm, cool, collective, beautiful, and she had style and a lot of swag🔥(That’s a Brooklyn in her🗽😎☺️)

Although many of us may not have known Aaliyah personally, it still feels like she could’ve been someone close to me, like a family member. That’s just how impactful her connection was with those who loved her 🙏🏾Sometimes I would randomly think about Aaliyah, and it would often sadden me that she passed away at such a young age but I am happy to have watched her grow within her career and watch her develop into the beautiful young woman that she was 🙏🏾

When I look at some of the talents that we have today, the majority of them remind me of Aaliyah. That’s how heavy and influential her style was. I loved the way Aaliyah did everything so effortlessly with pure passion from the gifts that she had as a singer, actress and model.   She didn’t have to try hard. She just had it. Originally, style, beauty, personality, stage performance, and authenticity.

Aaliyah will never be forgotten. No matter how many years have passed, to me, Aaliyah will always stand out and her music will forever live on. 🙏🏾 Aaliyah, Missy, and Timberland was way ahead of their time. Aaliyah’s style, music video and even choreography was futuristic🔥🔥She was 10 steps ahead. Love and miss my Capricorn sister ♑️🐐Brooklyn girl 🗽, the icon, the legend, the Queen of R&B 👑💐💐🙏🏾❤️
