Happy 20th Year Anniversary to Nas’ Album, “I Am” !!

Can’t believe it was 20 years ago that this most anticipated, one of the most legendary and classic album was released by the man himself, Nas !!!! 🙌🏾👏🏾 I remember being a kid when this album came out and the day when my big brother cop the album, he came home blasting it ! Lol. Well of course ! It was and still is fire !!!🔥Even though I was a kid, I remember bumping my head to all the songs on this album! Lol and even though I was too young and didn’t understand everything Nas was saying on this album, I understood the motivation behind most of his songs and what he meant when he said , “still we will survive,no matter what, my people just stay alive,” “life is what you make it,” “it’s a small world,” to having a New York State of mind.” 💪🏾Nas was always ahead of his time and his lyrics proved how smart he is about music, the world and life itself ! I’m glad that I got to watch Nas become even more legendary like the legend he is today ! 🙌🏾I’ve always respected all rappers who turned their lives around for the better and motivate(d) the next generation to do better and Nas is one of those rappers who motivated me through how music to be believe in myself because I Can ! 🙌🏾So from one New Yorker to another, I want to say, thank you Nas for giving us real and solid music over the years ! I’m so happy that I was raised in the 90s when rap and hip hop was so authentic ! 🙌🏾 Congratulations and Happy 20th Anniversary to the album “I am” Nas !’
