POLICE BEAT TYRE NICHOLS TO DEATH !
Words cannot express the pain, hurt, and trauma I feel when I think about what happened to Tyre Nichols. At just 29 years old, Tyre was fatally beaten to death by 6 police officers for a simple traffic stop in Memphis, Tennessee. Tyre Nichols died three days later. Tyre didn’t deserve to be taken out of this world for a traffic stop. The police shouldn’t have beaten him in the first place. I couldn’t watch the video I only seen glimpse of it because it is traumatizing to my eyes, my mind, mental and emotional health due to a similar case of what happened to my brother in 2020. I am grateful to God that my brother is alive.
It still hurts till this day even more when I see others who didn’t survive police brutality.
It hurts to watch the same police whose duty is to protect and serve ALL PEOPLE kill them as well. It’s not suppose to be that way. Those 6 policemen deserve to pay the price for what they have done to Tyre Nichols and Tyre Nichols family deserve justice for the killing of Tyre.
Martin Luther King once said, “injustice everywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” and he was right. Injustice is never right, and shouldn’t be tolerated no matter who or where it’s occurring upon. Injustice is wrong any and everywhere.
I look at Tyre Nichols and see my brother. I look at his mother and see how much she resembles my mother. I empathize with others because we are all one blood and the same thing can happen to any one of us it doesn’t matter the race, culture, religion, etc .This can happen to anyone but it happens to African Americans the most and it saddens me.
Some major changes has to be made in the police department because something is not right. Some of these policemen need to go through psychological evaluation every month because some of them are unfit for the job and unfit to do their job well enough to not take out a life. I am not against the police department, I am against bad policing! But changes has to come from the inside of the police department first ! They should use their power to do the right thing!
Rest in peace to Tyre Nichols. My heart and my condolences to his family for their loss. May God comfort and protect them. I pray for Justice for Tyre Nichols.🙏🏾
